Wilbur, WA (August 2, 2024) – A crash on Thursday, August 1, involving a motorcycle and a car on State Rte 2 left two injured. The accident happened around 7 p.m. when both vehicles were eastbound at milepost 222. The car turned into a Dollar General parking lot, and the motorcycle attempted to pass, causing the collision.
The motorcycle driver was airlifted to a hospital, while the car’s 13-year-old passenger was taken to a local hospital by ground. The car driver was not injured.
Both vehicles were totaled, and charges for second-degree negligent driving may be filed against the motorcycle driver. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
