Winchester, KY – 15-Year-Old Killed in School Bus Accident at Veterans Memorial Pkwy & Ironworks Rd

Winchester, KY (September 4, 2024) – McKenna Letcher, 15, died after being hit by a school bus on Tuesday morning, September 3. The accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Pkwy and Ironworks Rd. Letcher, a freshman at George Rogers Clark High School, was attempting to cross the parkway when the bus struck her.

The bus, carrying students aged up to 10 years old, was en route to school. A GoFundMe page has been created to assist Letcher’s family with funeral costs.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident.
